Caught by surprise by a barrage from the nearby Guardsmen, the Stormboyz were forced to withdraw. Kicking their jump-packs into life, they legged it back to the central building for some refreshment…
The Guard squad then charged in on Biglug and his Nobz, presumably hoping to trip the Greenskins with their corpses. Caught in combat with the Bikers, the remainder of the mortar squad was forced out of their positions to pile in.
But not for long…
With the left flank now clear, the Bikes sped down the line, aiming to take some of the fire off the Boyz still struggling across the board. This was marginally successful, as all bar one bike was promptly cut down by massed lascannon fire.
Waaagh2D2 had been left a smoking heap, and C3POrk was down a big shoota from another battle canon barrage. C3POrk advanced unshaken through the smoke, striving to get close enough to bring his power-saw arm to bear.
Combined fire from the Boss Mob and Grots having taken care of the Heavy weapons, the remaining bike angled to get behind the first Leman Russ, where its big shootas had a small chance of doing some damage. Everyone else just kept advancing, sustained firing dropping the Guardsmen like… well, Guardsmen.
